As a Political Science instructor for nearly twenty years I only wish that I had had access to this excellent book. The articles are filled with fresh thinking, new insights, and most of all plain unvarnished common sense. Some might even think that Mr. Urquhart gives another old Scottish political philosopher, namely Adam Smith, a run for his money. Two of the essays I would note are "The Free Market", which hugely clarifies that most abused of concepts, and "War", which should be required reading for every college student in the land.
